Privacy Policy

The short version. Powur Home is the mobile app where Powur PBC homeowners track the progress of their solar project, ask Powur AI project questions, manage support, and, when eligible, use ambassador referral and payout tools. We collect information needed to keep you signed in, show your project, support app features, and help with support questions. We don't use advertising trackers, we don't sell your data, and you can request account deletion from inside or outside the app.

1. Who we are

Powur Home is a mobile application operated by Powur PBC, a Delaware public benefit corporation. When this policy says "we," "us," or "Powur," we mean Powur PBC. When it says "you," we mean the homeowner using the app to track a solar project installed by Powur or one of its partners.

Powur PBC is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

2. What we collect

We collect information needed to operate Powur Home and support your project. We don't use third-party advertising trackers or behavioral analytics in this app.

Your project data is created by Powur and our installation partners during your sales, design, and installation process. The app shows you a read-only view of it. This includes:

Powur Home does not use advertising identifiers, social media SDKs, or third-party behavioral analytics. We do not access your contacts, calendar, microphone, camera, location, or motion sensors.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only with the parties below, and only to the extent reasonably needed for the purpose listed. We require service providers that process app user data for us to protect it consistently with this policy.

Zendesk, Inc. Powers our in-app support chat and ticketing. Receives your support messages and files you choose to send, account email, account ID, project context, and basic support diagnostics.
Stripe, Inc. Provides Stripe Connect payout setup and management for eligible ambassador rewards. Stripe collects payout details directly when you open its flow.
Installation partners The licensed installer assigned to your project may receive scheduling and site information needed to perform the installation, inspection, and activation.
Email delivery providers Deliver account sign-in links, service messages, and other app-related email communications on Powur's behalf.
AI processing providers Process your Powur AI question, project context, and limited recent chat history to generate app responses on Powur's behalf.
Cloud hosting, monitoring, and infrastructure providers Host Powur systems, keep the app reliable, monitor service health, and protect against fraud and abuse under contracts with Powur.
Legal & safety Government authorities, courts, or other parties when we are legally required to disclose information, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Powur, our customers, or others.

5. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the app, support your project, maintain required business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, no app-specific purpose requires us to retain personal information for longer than twenty-four (24) months after your account is terminated.

When there is no longer an ongoing business need to process your personal information, we delete or anonymize it. Where deletion or anonymization is not immediately possible, we isolate the information from further processing until deletion is possible.

When you request account deletion, we remove or de-identify app account data after we verify the request, normally within 30 days. We may retain records longer where required or permitted by law, such as contracts, tax records, warranty information, support history, dispute records, safety records, and compliance records relating to your solar project.

Recent Powur AI chat history is stored locally on your device for up to 50 messages and can be cleared in the app. Support-ticket read state is also stored locally, with per-ticket view records pruned after about 180 days and removed when you sign out.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA") give you the following rights, which we honor:

You can exercise these rights by submitting a request from inside the app (Support → Delete Account, or Support → Live Support) or by emailing us at the address below. If we cannot verify your identity from the email and account ID associated with your request, we may ask for additional information before responding.

Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with proof of authorization.

8. Other U.S. state rights

Residents of states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws may have rights similar to those described in the California section, including the right to access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy of, and opt out of certain processing of their personal information. We honor applicable rights through the same in-app and email channels.

9. Children's privacy

Powur Home is not directed to persons under 18, and we do not knowingly solicit data from or market to persons under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage of your authentication token in device secure storage, and access controls on our internal systems. No security measure is perfect, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately so we can revoke access.

11. International users

Powur Home is operated from the United States, and the information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the app from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, give you additional notice (for example, an in-app message or email). The updated policy applies from the effective date shown on the page.
